MARINE ART
Marine art is a strong tradition in Salem and the North Shore. Salem faces the sea, whose trade routes to foriegn ports built the sea captains' homes that line our streets. The Peabody Essex Museum of Salem contains one of the finest colelctions of marine art in the world, and is a must if you enjoy marine art.
